Polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) is a type of resin that can dissolve in water and is known for its strong chemical stability. Polyvinyl Alcohol uses in the textile industry as a fabric sizing material and warp sizing material. It can also be used as an adhesive in the papermaking and logging industries, as well as in agriculture as a soil amendment and pesticide adhesion enhancer. PVA films made from it can also be used in agriculture. In the oil extraction industry, it can act as a cementing agent.
